Parent Resource Center

Youth Smoking Prevention

Thank you for expressing interest in the Raising Kids Who Don't Smoke series. To help us provide up-to-date and readily-available information for parents and organizations on keeping kids tobacco free, we are focusing our efforts on maintaining a comprehensive online resource and have discontinued the printed versions of the Raising Kids Who Don't Smoke resource series as of May 31, 2008.

We are however, continuing to provide downloadable versions of the brochures and tip-sheets online. In addition, our online resources provide tips and tools from parenting and child development experts to help parents better connect with and talk to their kids about not smoking or using any tobacco products. Learn more about:

  • Ways to start the conversation and tips on keeping the lines of communication open
  • Tools to help parents help their kids handle peer pressure
  • Tips specifically intended for parents who smoke
  • Interactive exercises and quizzes

In an effort to connect you with resources available online we also encourage you to join our e-mail list so that you may start to receive e-updates about new and updated information on the online Parent Resource Center and other websites related to preventing youth tobacco use. Thank you again for your support in helping to prevent youth tobacco use.

Sincerely,
