Director of Behavioral Medicine Programs at Boston Medical Center, Primary Care Center
Dr. Sokolove coordinates Behavioral Medicine programs in the Section of General Internal Medicine at Boston Medical Center, and holds faculty appointments both in medicine and psychiatry. His special interest is in developing and evaluating smoking cessation and other wellness programs specifically designed for low income, culturally diverse patients. In 2000, he was awarded the "Tobacco Treatment Services for Boston Medical Center" service grant by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
He brings a strong behavioral perspective to the project.
